There are scenarios where iReputation.Repair may not be a good fit. While the process we provide and various of its steps can help some with nearly any given online reputation issue that may cause an individual or a company harm in search engine results, there are instances where this program is not built in a way that will be as effective. Please read carefully below to see if iReputation.Repair may not be a good fit for you.
iReputation Repair may not be right for these cases:
- Is the negative item about you or your organization published on the website of a major newspaper or news organization? If so, does the article’s title include your name as displayed in the search results? If the answer to both of these questions is yes, then our program may not have enough power to overcome the negative item. By major news sites, we typically mean sites like CNN.com, MSNBC.com, NYTimes.com, WashingtonPost.com, DallasNews.com, HuffingtonPost.com, etc. The issue involved is that Google and other search engines still determine rankings largely based upon link analysis, meaning that sites that have the most inlinks (and links from other highly popular, well-ranking websites) will have a deep advantage that may be difficult to overcome. Following our process to push down such strongly-ranking content may be quite difficult. You can still try using our system for this, and most of the assets you would set up under our system would need to be a first step in accomplishing reputation repair work, but you may have to perform the development steps for far longer than typical, and you may have to perform more impactful and more expensive promotions than anticipated by our system. Feel free to try our system for such an issue — it generally will not hurt your prospects at all, and our system can work in parallel with other providers’ programs.
- Are there ongoing, repeated publications of negative materials about you or your organization? Our processes are built primarily to address a number of items that were published at some point while no further publications of negative materials are really anticipated. Addressing ongoing or recurring publications of reputation-damaging materials are a challenging issue, and can be rather like trying to hit a moving target. You may need to address whatever core issue is happening that is resulting in the creation of ongoing reputation-damaging materials, get the situation stabilized, and then come back to use us once things have settled into a more stable situation. If someone is purposefully working to harm you in an ongoing basis, you may need to negotiate with them or sue them to get the bombardment to stop. If your business model is causing repeated customer complaints, you may need to change your customer service policies or how you conduct business. If your treatment of employees is resulting in them attacking you after their employment ends, perhaps you will need to adjust your management style.
- Do you have the time and willpower to work on your reputation? iReputation.Repair provides fairly simple, straightforward steps in addressing online reputation issues, but it requires one to actually perform the steps necessary. Many people may feel that they do not have the time or energy necessary to take actions beyond their day-to-day work schedules, but one must seriously consider that reputational issues may need to be prioritized quite high, else one’s future prospects will become sharply limited. The longer one waits to address reputation damage in search results, the harder it may be to displace. But, if you simply cannot take the time necessary to help yourself, then do not sign up for this service. We cannot provide refunds if you change your mind later, or if you chose not to take any of the steps in the process.
- Do you have insufficient resources to invest in your reputation improvement program? We provide some estimates for our reputation programs so that you may attempt to prepare for the costs inherent in online promotion work. And, while our system is cost-effective, it is not free. Things like domain names, website hosting and more cost real dollars. And, undertaking a reputation improvement project requires time. You should expect to subscribe to our program for at least six months as you work on your project in order for it to be effective — and, to insure that results may be stable over longterm, you may want to stay a member for at least a year in order to keep up with the changing landscape of search engine ranking algorithms, legal changes impacting online reputations, and new or emerging services that could further strengthen your program. But, consider carefully — there have been instances where we knew that it would be less costly for a company to change its name and relaunch, compared to undertaking a reputation repair program.
- This is not for learning methods to use in attacking others’ online reputations. While some techniques could be used to reverse-engineer in order to create materials to harm the reputations of others online, that is not what this program is intended-for. Using our resources in attacking others is prohibited by our terms and conditions. Doing so may open you up to liability, and we reserve the right to suspend services if we find that is going on. Also, if your reputation is damaged online, it can be very tempting to “return fire” against the party or parties responsible. But, it is our long experience that proves to us that “returning fire” is highly contra-indicated. Our subscriber materials will explain this further in-depth, but trust us on this. It is fine to “set the record straight” in some cases, and you may do so. But, avoid trying to use our systems to attack others — in general, reputation recovery works best in a non-overt way that does not call a lot of attention to itself.
- iReputation.Repair cannot clean up your record for background checks. Yes, your reputation may be impacted by information about you that is found in a background check, but that is not really what we refer to when we talk about “online reputations”. An “online reputation” is what shows up when people search for your name in search engines, on social media websites, and other public-facing websites. Those are items that can be addressed. But, a background check that looks up financial information about one, and looks up criminal records and such in databases that are behind the scenes are not something that our program can address. The only way to remove stuff from criminal background checks is to go through the legal system. We are partnered with some attorneys we could refer you to that may be able to help, if there are grounds to do so.
- The iReputation.Repair programs are not for use in any illegal operations or activities. We are very supportive of anyone who has made some mistakes in the past, and who desires to move on to have a future. However, if you are trying to use our service to elude the authorities, or to continue in harming others through illegal activities, we will not support that. It is against our terms and services to be used to hide illegal activities or governmental restrictions. If we discover you are using our platform in any way to harm others, we will discontinue your access, and turn over any information we have to the authorities.
